ATELIER MISE EN PAGE FOR LINUX
==============================

Installation
------------
1. Extract the file AtelierMiseEnPage-Linux.tar.gz
   (right-click > Extract here).
2. Open a terminal in the AtelierMiseEnPage folder
(right-click in the folder > Open in terminal), then type:
     ./installer.sh
No password is asked: the installation is for you alone.
3. The Atelier opens. Afterwards, it is in the applications menu.

The program is installed in ~/AtelierMiseEnPage (a folder in your home
folder). You can delete the extracted folder.

What you need
-------------
- Linux with a desktop (GNOME, KDE, Xfce, Cinnamon...), on PC (x64) or ARM.
- Preferably Google Chrome, Chromium, Microsoft Edge or Brave: the Atelier
then opens in its own window. Otherwise, it opens in your usual
  browser (Firefox...).
- curl or wget for updates (almost always installed).
- An Internet connection for the fonts and for exporting images.

Language
--------
The Atelier starts in your system language if it is French, English,
Spanish, German or Portuguese, otherwise in French. To change it, use the
language list at the top right of the window (also in the View tab).
Your choice is remembered.
The translations have not been reviewed by native speakers.

Where are your publications?
----------------------------
They are saved automatically in ~/AtelierMiseEnPage/profil
(if the Atelier opens in Firefox, they are kept by Firefox).
To keep them elsewhere or send them, use Save: this creates a .json file
that you can reopen with Open.

Print and create a PDF
----------------------
Export as image > "Print or save as PDF...", then choose
"Save as PDF" as the printer.

Update
------
Click "Update" at the top of the window, then "Check for updates".
If the browser asks to open the link with "xdg-open" or
"Atelier Mise en Page", click "Open". The program checks for a newer version
and offers to install it. Your publications are kept.

Uninstall
---------
In a terminal: ~/AtelierMiseEnPage/programme/desinstaller.sh
Your publications stay in ~/AtelierMiseEnPage/profil; to erase them too,
delete the folder ~/AtelierMiseEnPage.
